Many people are feeling lonely, left out, and rejected. We keep saying everyone is okay. We are called to love and reach out to everyone. We should put ourselves in the shoes of others to feel their pain and their loneliness.
That is true Hospitality! That is the Church!
Hospitality comes from the Greek word, “philoxenia,” which means the love of strangers. The stranger is anyone who looks and acts differently than me. The one who feels left out and rejected. We should go and seek out the strangers in our midst and love them as Jesus would.
Mission Assignment: We challenge you this week to break your friend groups and find the one who is lonely. Reach out and love them!
